Genki Pet offers aromatherapeutic essential oil sprays that pet owners can use with their pets to promote calm, soothe anxiety and supports confident socialisation. I love these products for my dog and was delighted to work with Rachel on rebranding and designing the packaging labels for her spritzes.

Objective and goals

Genki Pet came with an older logo which required updating. We knew that we wanted the new logo to feel more mature and sophisticated and less comic-like. We wanted it to feel like an illustrated stamp which could be applied to other brand touch-points. We also wanted to bring in references to the brand's focus on using natural ingredients in the colour palette whilst communicating the feeling of calmness and relaxation.

The packaging labels needed to feel premium and professional for sale in eco-friendly gift stores.

The Design

Strategy and results

We created a logo suite which included the type-based logo and logo mark in various arrangements so Rachel could use the right format for her various touchpoints, such as her website, social media and packaging. We refined the original concept of the logo mark, simplifying it down to lighter, calmer, organic brushstrokes. Hence, it feels more cohesive with the overall hand-crafted quality of the brand.

We paired the logos with a colour palette inspired by the Australian landscape and natural botanical ingredients. We applied this concept of the layered landscape to create the background illustration for the packaging label and created icons in the same style as the logo mark.
